Kunzman guide for simply growing hops

Planting

   1. Obtain hop rhizomes from your local homebrew shop. Freshhops.com on the web also sells hop rhizomes.
   2. The roof of your house will have a little awning, screw two hooks three feet apart into this awning. (make sure to get a decent size hook that can stand the weight of the hops.)
   3. Drive a wooden stake into the ground that has a u nail driven into the top of it.
   4. String bailing twine through the unail in the stake and tie off on both hooks on the roof.
   5. Place a small mound near the stake from the rhizome.
   6. Plant rhizome 1 ½ to 2 inches below surface.
   7. When the hops grow to six inches tall twist them clockwise around the twine.
   8. Hops will be faily small the first years because there is no root system. They will grow back bigger next year

Harvesting

   1. Cut down bines from the top.
   2. Pull off hops and place on wire screen out of sunlight
   3. After hops dry, Place them in a Ziploc bag and place in freezer
